The High Performance Program (HPP) has been created to foster three key areas in our youth displaying the motivation and desire to compete:

- Prehabilitation and Recovery

High Performance Program
The Program Details
12 month program running year round with a two week break over Christmas – New Years. Deload weeks will be programmed for other school holiday breaks but coached sessions will continue during this time.
- Invite through current Bould Youth Program or bi-quarterly tryouts
- Aged 13 -19 years old
- Desire to compete in local & state comps
- Motivated & willing to challenge themselves

- Four notable coaches all bringing a unique set of skills and perspectives to the HPP writing and delivery

High Performance Program
Bould Team Unity
- Two 90 minute coached group sessions per week plus a one hour session every weekend to allow team rapport development as well as trust in coaches
- Athlete uniform bundle creates clear visual belonging as well as fosters team unity and recognition
- One coach present at all local and QLD State competitions as team leader to ensure team support is provided every step of the way
- Personalised training plans programmed with regressions and progressions including at-home and self-driven training outside of coached sessions
- Strong focus on the importance of team spirit, despite bouldering being an individual sport
- Train as a team, compete as a team, support each other as a team and win as a team
- Mindset coaching to build resilience, sportsmanship, self leadership and discipline
Evidence-based Recovery
- Personalised training plans for each team member will also include allocated rest periods
- Prehab focused exercises for sustainable progress (climb longer & stronger)
- Elite recovery tools like our mobility facility and the infrared sauna (age sensitive)
