Bould Move offers a bouldering program designed by some of Sunshine Coast’s most experienced and educated bouldering coaches.

Through weekly drills of: reading what’s in front, patience and perseverance – our trainers will help your child develop the right skills to master any problem…on or off the wall.

Bould Youth Program

$100/term
  • + $26/week for unlimited bouldering membership
  • Ages 6 to 16
  • FREE BYP tee shirt for first timers
  • 1 hour coached session every Tuesday
  • 1 free friend per month (outside of session times)
  • Program focused on getting students hooked on bouldering, teaching fundamental skills and building their confidence on the wall all in a safe and fun environment
  • Choose your preferred time - 4pm or 5pm
  • Add a 2nd coached session for $10/week
  • 5% off Pro Shop and Bould Bean Cafe

Bould Youth Program - Advanced

$150/term
  • + $26/week for unlimited bouldering membership
  • Ages 6 to 16

  • 1 hour coached session every Thursday
  • 1 free friend per month (outside of session times)
  • Program focusing on furthering fundamental bouldering skills and techniques in a fun and safe environment and taking their bouldering journey to the next level
  • Choose your preferred time - 4pm or 5pm
  • Add a 2nd coached session for $10/week
  • 5% off Pro Shop and Bould Bean Cafe

A safe-landing and best practices demonstration will start the program, which each participant will be required to demonstrate prior to bouldering.

Indoor bouldering is made safer with gymnastics standard matting below and of course, the boulderer is always in 100% control of how high they wish to boulder.

With proper supervision, bouldering is available for anyone. Bould Move encourages youth across all ages to join in for the numerous benefits.

Bouldering requires a very low cost of entry. Only thing needed is bouldering shoes.

These can be purchased in-store or hired each week for $5.

No partner, harness, ropes or knots needed.

Although our routes are challenging and falling is a risk, boulderers are almost always in control of holding on or falling off. 

Best practices for falling are demonstrated in the safety briefing and the gymnastics standard matting provides a soft landing.

Our in-house physiotherapist and first aid qualified staff are on hand should an injury occur.

Our Bould Youth Program has been carefully designed by our coaching team. 

Some qualifications amongst the group: Physiotherapist, Sport & Exercise Science, National and State Winning Boulderers and Climbers.

Ridiculously! People of all ages and fitness levels enjoy the fun, unique problem solving and physical activity of bouldering. Within the group environment, we will see goal setting, wins, perseverance and grit a part of each session.

Goal achievement requires the ability to set a focus and intention. 

The best goals to set are those just beyond reach, like a bouldering problem or a new movement. 

The ability to stay focused and achieve a goal – after attempts and failures, trials and errors – builds the skill-sets required of modern day thinkers and leaders.

Besides the physical aspects, bouldering is great at developing cognitive problem solving skills. Each bouldering problem is like a puzzle that one attempts to solve not just with their body, but with their mind, hence the term ‘problem’ instead of route.

Your child will develop focus, attention, problem solving ability and physical strength through bouldering.
