Otherwise...Bouldering is rock climbing without ropes.

That’s right! Ropeless climbing!

Not to worry, indoor bouldering is done with heavy duty matting below and the bouldering height is safely limited. And of course, you are always in 100% control of how high you wish to boulder.

Bouldering also offers an experience to work to your limits while enjoying yourself, an experience to help you break free from the belief that ‘exercise must be punishing and unenjoyable’.

At Bould Move you will see big walls, bright holds and a friendly bunch of people. But before you get to play on the walls with your new friends, you must do the following:

First, you’ll be fitted with the right shoe for you.

Second, you’ll sign a waiver and demonstrate a safe landing.

Third, time to boulder!

One of the great things about bouldering is the low cost necessary to start.

The only thing that is required are climbing shoes.

So that’s it!

No need for a partner, supervision, harnesses, knots!

Shoes on and boulder away!!

Fortunately boulderers still care more about impressing each other by ‘having a go’ rather than their clothing, so wear what you please, keeping the following in mind:

Bouldering is a workout, so wear something that you’re happy to sweat in.

Avoid movement-restricting clothing. Feel comfortable.

Bouldering, at Bould Move, is definitely a family friendly thing to do on the Sunshine Coast.

We offer something for everyone, from a kids-only wall through to advanced climbing training facilities, group workouts, specialty coffee and loads of space to lounge.

We are conveniently located in the SportsHub precinct of Birtinya - 24A Innovation Parkway - visit us

Look for the enormous black and green building with boulderers all over it.

Of course the kids can come along!

Important to note however, all children 16 & under must be accompanied by an adult.

We have a strict 3 Strikes & you're out policy - No running, Keeping mats clear, Keep clear of others.

If you’re old enough to boulder, you’re old enough to boulder.

*Adult supervision required for children 16 * under.

Here are some commonly used terms that should get you through day one:

Onsight: To climb a problem on your first try with no information about how to climb it, or a successful attempt at doing so.

Send: To climb a problem without falling. To ascend.

Bould Move does not charge a cancellation fee (or signup fee).

We don’t believe in charging people for a change of circumstances, and we certainly don’t believe in charging people that want to join our community.

We do require a fortnight’s notice to cancel memberships from an administrative perspective.

Apart from our athlete inspired bouldering walls, we also have our Bould Gym facility.

Bould Gym is a fully equipped strength and conditioning facility.

Indeed we do.

Being the first bouldering centre to open early enough for a pre-workday boulder, Bould Move understands the importance of providing a facility that allows a complete freshen up.

It's all very simple.
