The Bould Youth Program is designed to inspire and challenge our youth through engaging bouldering activities, fostering teamwork, confidence, and resilience. With weekly sessions throughout the school term, our program has been developed by some of the best bouldering coaches and specialist physiotherapists.
As as new and exciting sport, we have developed the program with an obvious progression for beginners to expert with our BYP Advanced sessions as well. Then if competition bouldering is of interest to your youth, then we have the High Performance Program taking it that next level of training. Regardless of the program you choose, our expert coaches provide personalized guidance to help them develop their skills in a fun and supportive environment.

The High Performance Program (HPP) has been created to foster three key areas in our youth displaying the motivation and desire to compete:

The Program Details
12 month program running year round with a two week break over Christmas – New Years. Deload weeks will be programmed for other school holiday breaks but coached sessions will continue during this time.

A safe-landing and best practices demonstration will start the program, which each participant will be required to demonstrate prior to bouldering.
Indoor bouldering is made safer with gymnastics standard matting below and of course, the boulderer is always in 100% control of how high they wish to boulder.
With proper supervision, bouldering is available for anyone. Bould Move encourages youth across all ages to join in for the numerous benefits.
Bouldering requires a very low cost of entry. Only thing needed is bouldering shoes.
These can be purchased in-store or hired each week for $5.
No partner, harness, ropes or knots needed.
Although our routes are challenging and falling is a risk, boulderers are almost always in control of holding on or falling off.
Best practices for falling are demonstrated in the safety briefing and the gymnastics standard matting provides a soft landing.
Our in-house physiotherapist and first aid qualified staff are on hand should an injury occur.
Our Bould Youth Program has been carefully designed by our coaching team.
Some qualifications amongst the group: Physiotherapist, Sport & Exercise Science, National and State Winning Boulderers and Climbers.
Ridiculously! People of all ages and fitness levels enjoy the fun, unique problem solving and physical activity of bouldering. Within the group environment, we will see goal setting, wins, perseverance and grit a part of each session.
Goal achievement requires the ability to set a focus and intention.
The best goals to set are those just beyond reach, like a bouldering problem or a new movement.
The ability to stay focused and achieve a goal – after attempts and failures, trials and errors – builds the skill-sets required of modern day thinkers and leaders.
Besides the physical aspects, bouldering is great at developing cognitive problem solving skills. Each bouldering problem is like a puzzle that one attempts to solve not just with their body, but with their mind, hence the term ‘problem’ instead of route.
Your child will develop focus, attention, problem solving ability and physical strength through bouldering.
