What are the Group Training Classes in the Gym?🤔

Ever wondered what’s going on in those classes? 

The class description lies in the name – BTR Group Workouts. Our BTR group workouts are designed by our team of coaches to offer something for everyone. To summarise the atmosphere within each session… supportive, focused, social, effective. ✨


B = BOULDER

  • There are 12 BOULDER sessions each week.
  • The BOULDER focused sessions have been designed for both ON & OFF THE WALL development. 


ON THE WALL sessions with Coach Jacob 

  • Technical

Here you will develop bouldering fundamentals through to the BIG FLASHY MOVES under an experienced and highly qualified coach.  

Each week you will learn a new technique; plus, WHEN & HOW to apply it. 

  • Surface Variety 

Time to develop your skills across the whole gym. Where Boulder Bros practice slab; where the nervous practice something new. These sessions focus on developing the boulderer across any terrain. 

  • Social 

Social Saturdays are fast becoming the session of the week. Here Coach Jacob joins the class in a collaborative approach to bouldering.  

OFF THE WALL sessions with Coach Sarah 

  • Strong & Mobile 

As always, from the fundamentals through to the flashy stuff, our Off the Wall sessions develop the Boulderer’s Body from head to toe. 

Major focuses are single leg strength; pull strength and endurance, balance and the now famous Core Finishers. 

 

T = TRAIN 

  • There are 13 TRAIN sessions each week.
  • The TRAIN focused sessions have been designed for the everyday MOVER. Someone that wants a balanced approach to training, where no “movement stone” will be left unturned.
  • A typical TRAIN session will take you on a full movement journey with a huge variety of movements in each phase.
  • Each TRAIN phase is generally 6 weeks and focuses on developing 3-5 key movements and the systems that support them. 

 

R = RECOVER 

  • There are generally 3 RECOVER sessions each week. 


Includes:

  • Breathwork 
  • Mobility exercises
  • Zone 2 training
  • Joint-specific prehab & rehabilitation

Ever Think You Aren’t Strong or Fit Enough to Join? 

Well, you can stop thinking that immediately! 
Every person currently attending our BTR Group Workouts started “at the bottom”, including our coaches.
Our coaches are trained to regress (& progress) workouts to cater for the beginner (& advanced).
 

Are They Free to Join? 

For members, yes!!
Bould Base members get 3 free sessions per month.
Bould Plus members get 6 free sessions per month.
Bould Premium members have unlimited sessions each month.
**FYI – Saunas are free too!! (Per month: Base = 1; Plus = 2; Premium = 4)** 

 

What’s Happening in BTR Now? 

We’re in week 5 of 6 for Phase 1 2026. In Phase 1 we transitioned from Size to Strength Training and have explored the following:

BOULDER

  • OFF THE WALL – Leg strength, Pull strength & endurance, core
  • ON THE WALL – Techniques & Surface Variety

TRAIN – Single leg strength, Overhead Push, Endurance

RECOVER – Eyes, Neck and Jaw

What’s Next in BTR?
Phase 2 will see us transition from Strength to Power.
BOULDER – As Phase 1, with a bunch of new and exciting ways to move.
TRAIN – Leg strength, Single leg power, Push strength & power, Trunk mobility and strength.
RECOVER – Shoulder Coordination & Mobility.
